Savage Patriot Spotlight - Greg Bermoy
Former Marine Reservist Becomes Savage Operations Supervisor
Greg Bermoy is an Operations Supervisor in Wilmington, California and has been with Savage for almost 10 years. Greg was in high school the morning of September 11, 2001 when he heard of the attack on the United States. Upon graduation, Greg enlisted in the Marine Reserves and his first duty station was with the 4th LAAD (Low Altitude Air Defense) Battalion in Pasadena, California.
Greg and his unit were deployed to Al-Anbar Province in Iraq where he became a SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) Gunner in defense of Al Asad Air Base. During his time in Iraq, Greg was involved in defending against many rocket and mortar attacks upon the air base. As a result of his service in Iraq, Greg was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Greg served six years in the Marine Reserves and achieved the rank of Corporal. His military service prepared him for a good career at Savage. At the company’s Wilmington Operation, Greg is a supervisor in conjunction with four different operations in the El Segundo area. Greg is able to incorporate many of the skills he learned while serving our country. He is actively supervising, dispatching, problem solving and constantly maintaining a line of communication between customers, employees and managers.
