David G. Wolach

Since joining the Company in 1988, David had many responsibilities at Savage. He led Savage’s Development Group, where he oversaw new business development, marketing, engineering, and project development. Previously, David was Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Chemical, Refinery and Industrial Services and the Coal and Coke Services units. He also was a founding Management Committee member of Gulf Sulphur Services, Savage’s joint venture partnership with The Mosaic Company.

Before joining Savage, David was a marketing executive in the coal industry, most recently as Vice President of Marketing for Kaiser Coal Corporation. He has in-depth knowledge of the international marketplace for coal and petroleum coke.

David earned his degree in business from the University of Colorado. During his career he was active in industry groups and association, serving as President of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute (and was named as a Life Member in 2011), and Vice President of the Transportation and Economics Committee for National Coal Association.
David retired from Savage in 2011 and now serves on the Company’s Board of Directors.
